Restore a full head of healthy hair with an FUE hair transplant. At the Canadian Hair Transplant Centre, Dr. Sharma performs advanced hair restoration that creates natural-looking and cohesive results, designed to last.
What Is an FUE Hair Transplant?
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a surgical technique in which individual follicular units are removed from the donor area using small circular 0.6-0.7 mm punches and relocated to areas of thinning or baldness. The extracted follicles are DHT-resistant and retain that stability after transplantation, producing permanent results. While FUE procedures are often thought of as scarless or non-invasive, each extraction does create a small wound. Each wound heals with dot-like scarring that’s hard to detect in the scalp, preserving a natural-looking appearance.
Our FUE hair transplants take the following steps:
- All extractions are performed manually by Dr. Sharma under high magnification
- Grafts are stored in chilled HypoThermosol + ATP to preserve cell viability
- Trichoscopy and TRANSPLANNER® are used to map donor density and angulation
- Each graft is examined under a microscope to confirm root and bulge integrity
- A “first out, first in” system minimises the time grafts spend outside the body
