About Us Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Canadian Hair Transplant Centre accept patients from outside Alberta?
Yes. We see patients from across Canada at our Edmonton clinic. Dr. Sharma offers virtual consultations to out-of-province patients, and we have travel resources available for your pre-op process. Note that Canadian insurance coverage does not extend to American residents.
How long does a hair transplant procedure typically take?
Most procedures take between six and eight hours, depending on graft volume. Because Dr. Sharma personally performs every extraction and incision, larger cases may be scheduled across two sessions to maintain quality and patient comfort.
When will I start seeing results after my procedure?
Initial hair growth typically begins between three and six months post-procedure. More significant density becomes visible between eight and twelve months, with final results generally assessable at the 12-18 month mark.
Does the clinic offer a no-shave hair transplant option?
Yes. A no-shave follicular unit extraction (FUE) option is available for patients who prefer not to shave the recipient area. This approach requires additional procedure time and is typically completed across two sessions. Specific pricing will be discussed at your initial consultation.
